Terms of Service
1. Service. NexyCell is a battery research and patent-intelligence platform: simulation tools, a research corpus, patent search and analytics built on public data sources. It is provided by Nexysys Lab ("we").
2. Not professional advice. Nothing on NexyCell is legal advice, a freedom-to-operate (FTO) opinion, a patent search of record, or investment advice. AI-generated analyses and briefings are produced by language models from the data shown, may contain errors, and must be independently verified before any business, filing or legal decision. Simulation outputs are engineering estimates for screening and education, not a substitute for cell-build validation.
3. Free tier and Pro licenses. The free tier is provided as-is with usage limits that may change. Pro is activated by a license key issued to a named organization for the agreed term; keys may be shared within that organization only and may not be resold or provided to third parties. We may revoke keys that are abused, shared outside the licensed organization, or obtained fraudulently.
4. Fees. Pro fees are quoted per contract and invoiced for payment by bank transfer. Prices are not published. Fees for a started term are non-refundable, except (a) where required by applicable law, or (b) if a material service failure remains uncured for 30 days after written notice, in which case we refund the unused portion of the term pro-rata.
5. Acceptable use. No systematic scraping, bulk redistribution or resale of the corpus; no circumvention of rate limits or license checks; no reverse engineering except where permitted by law. Exports are for your organization's internal use.
6. Data and attribution. The platform software and its analytics are ours. Underlying records remain subject to their sources' terms: Google Patents Public Data (CC BY 4.0, Google/IFI CLAIMS), Crossref metadata, OpenAlex (CC0), and public NIA research datasets. Patent and paper records are provided "as available" and may lag official registers.
7. Warranty and liability. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid for the service in that period (or USD 100 for free-tier use); we are not liable for indirect, consequential or lost-profit damages, or for decisions made in reliance on the service.
8. Changes and termination. We may update the service and these terms; material changes to paid terms take effect at your next renewal. Either party may terminate for uncured material breach. Sections 2, 6 and 7 survive termination.
9. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of Seoul, unless otherwise agreed in a signed contract.
Privacy Policy
1. What we collect. We collect contact details, license activation and usage events, and short-lived security logs. For the optional organization workspace, we also collect work email, display name, organization membership, project metadata, saved research content and revision history. Full license keys and workspace session tokens are not stored in the workspace database.
2. Device and workspace storage. Without workspace sign-in, collections, watch keywords, saved queries, recently viewed items and the license key remain in browser localStorage. Signed-in users may explicitly save project content, immutable revisions and private project files to the organization workspace. Private files are isolated by organization and project, require an authenticated workspace session to retrieve, and are not automatically added to the public corpus or sent to external AI providers. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. AI processing. Free-tier AI requests may send the relevant text to DeepSeek as disclosed in the feature. Licensed organization-workspace extraction uses our Cloudflare Workers AI binding and does not silently fall back to DeepSeek; if unavailable, it uses a local deterministic parser. AI extractions remain pending until a user approves or rejects them. Results may be cached where disclosed. We do not use your inquiries to train models.
4. Processors. Cloudflare provides hosting, storage and licensed-tier AI inference (Workers, D1, KV and Workers AI). DeepSeek processes free-tier AI requests. Resend processes transactional email when configured. These providers process data on our behalf under their respective terms.
5. Use and retention. Contact details are used to respond to inquiries and manage pilots and contracts. License usage is retained as rolling 31-day daily counts without the full key in the usage record. Inquiry IP address and user-agent fields are cleared after 90 days. Workspace projects and revisions are retained for the licensed organization until contract termination or a verified deletion request, subject to export and legal retention duties. Expired sign-in links and sessions are periodically removed. We do not sell personal data.
6. Your rights. To access, correct or delete your personal data, email jay@nexysys.com. We respond within 30 days.
